hunger in his glare that I couldn’t quite place, he wasn’t even touching me and
yet I still felt him all over. Both of us were panting, our breathing mirroring
one another’s, our hearts escalating higher and higher and beating beside each
other.

pulling it away from his body and he let me. I touched the pulse of his neck,
down to his heart, passed his taut abs until I reached his belt. The warmth and
velvetiness of his skin made my sex clench and my stomach flutter. The
butterfly feeling never got old. It was becoming one of my favorite feelings.

mattress. My legs spread wider and he readily lay in between them, placing all
his weight on his arms that were cradling my face. The room was dim, but I
could sense him everywhere and all at once.

erection on my wet core as he purposely moved his hips, grinding against my

This story is from the, The Good Ol Boys series. It is the story of Dylan and Aubrey. I haven't read any of the other books in this series and I didn't need to because each story is a standalone. I liked the storyline to this book although I was aggravated with how lengthy the book was. There were so many parts that could have been left out throughout the book. I love when an author gives detail but sometimes it can tend to be to much and that was the case with this book. The story spans throughout Dylan and Aubrey's life growing up from young teenage years all the way about till they are in their late 30's. There story wasn't a happy one at times. Their love however never faded but was tested quite often.
Aubrey has seen what loving someone can do to a person. Her mother is a great example. But sometimes love is never enough. Dylan was someone she never seen coming but when he came into her life she knew he was never going to leave. She however had to. She had something taken from her and is reminded of it every time Dylan is near her, so she does the only thing she can to survive and that is tell him the biggest lie she can. But when she needs him the most can she depend on him or will she have to learn to depend on herself more?
Dylan was such a cocky teenager and when a stranger puts him in his place, it does something to him. Aubrey is a light he never knew he needed. She makes him want to be better. He loves her with such a fierceness that it may be what causes them to go different ways in the end. He will do anything to protect her and in the end it may cause him to hate her.
Dylan and Aubrey's love isn't easy. They have their ups and their downs and in the end, it may just ruin them both. Hearts are loved and broken. Sometimes beyond repair.
