Michelle Lee lives in the heart of Nascar Country in Concord, North Carolina with her husband and daughter. When she’s not busy working, her days are filled with hanging out with her family and friends, reading, drinking Starbucks, and religiously watching the Food Network.
Jules has taken the leap to be in a relationship with Dash Ford, the gorgeous, sexy rock star. He is everything she could have ever wanted but the rock n’ roll lifestyle is something she doesn’t think she can handle: long tours, groupies, and not much time for each other.
Jules also has to deal with her horrific past. She can’t get her ex and what he did to her out of her head. She feels broken and unworthy. She also has major trust issues.
When her ex suddenly shows up from being in hiding and threatens to ruin everything, she decides to keep it a secret from Dash. She needs to protect him.
With everything and everybody conspiring against her, Jules is on the verge of losing it. She can’t take it any more.
Dash loves Jules with everything he has but her constant pulling away and lack of trust is straining their relationship. He doesn’t know what else he can do to prove his love to her.
I am a little disappointed with this book. I loved book one but this book was lacking the angst and suspense that the first one had.
Jules was constantly whining about not being good enough. I get that she has issues but she didn’t seem to try very hard to fit in. I also couldn’t believe how casual she was about her ex showing up; he could have killed her last time. I thought the author could have done a lot more with this aspect to make the book a lot more interesting.
I loved Dash and really felt for Jules. Their love was strong and their sex was off the charts. Overall this was a pretty good book except my issue with the part of the storyline with her ex. I recommend this book and series to read.
