This is an incredibly well written and touching love story that has everything you could want in a great romance and then some! Every emotion is covered here and heart strings will be tugged on so be prepared to shed a tear or two while reading this. I fell in love with Jude and Jillian from the second they were introduced and wanted for them to be together so badly. Jillian’s overprotective brother didn’t want for her to go anywhere near his old friend and former college buddy Jude and made this very clear to both of them from the beginning. However, Jillian’s older brother Ethan is unfortunately not their biggest concern when it comes to obstacles standing in the way. There’s a pretty considerable one that decides to make an unwelcome appearance and tries to get in the way of what is forming between Jillian and Jude in a big and undesired way. I found myself immediately irritated with this newest problem and wanted him to disappear in a big way. I was worried that Jillian might make the wrong choice and lose this incredibly great man standing right in front of her, or in this case across the hall. The more we come to find out about Mr. Shady from Jillian’s recent past, the more I came to despise him and I loved how things worked out in the end!

I loved everything about this story and especially loved how the further I got into it, the more complex the situation became and the more unexpected surprises there were waiting to catch me off guard. I love when books do this to me and was pleasantly surprised with this one since I didn’t expect what was really going on at all and loved it! There are so many layers to this story that it kept and held my interest the entire time since I constantly found myself needing to know what was going to happen next! I loved the secondary characters in this story and hope to see more of Ethan and Marcy’s relationship in the future. This is the second book I’ve read by this author and she’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. I highly recommend reading this to anyone and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
