Ahren spent her formative years living in an active volcano. There her family made collectible lava art. She studied rock collecting at the Sorbonne in France. There she met the love of her life-her pet pig Sybil. She returned to the states and started writing. She is happily married to a guy who used to live under a bridge and she met while pole-dancing. They have one amazing daughter.
Now, meet the real me. I grew up in the south and consider myself a true “Southerner”. Most of the special locations mentioned in my books are reflections of my favorite places. Living on the Florida coast, my family spends a lot time at the beach, which is where I usually can be found with a book in my hand.

Ahren Sanders has managed to do the impossible. In the span of an afternoon she ripped my heart to pieces and put it back together again. The story of Finn and Presley is one of such emotion that I laughed and I cried. I swooned and I even wanted to throw my kindle against the wall. This book was a roller coaster ride of epic proportions but one you definitely want to take!
Finn is a former Marine that has settled nicely into civilian life. He has a job that he loves, great friends and he has even decided to earn his college degree. He's also single and loving life. Or at least that's what he thinks.
Presley has suffered more heartache in her 25 years than any one person should in a lifetime. Having lost her mother at a young age she now has to learn to live with the loss of her brother, a Marine who was killed in action.
When we met Finn in the Surrendering Series I never would have guessed his story would be filled with so many emotions. This book is heartbreaking and sexy. But it's also funny when it needs to be and heartwarming at it's core. Finn and Presley are great together. He's possessive and fights for what he wants. She is timid and tends to gravitate to the "safe" choice, not taking many chances. When they meet the chemistry is instant and sparks fly. Can they make it work despite their differences? Are they willing to fight for the future they both want? Well, you'll have to read it to find out!
This book has some pretty steamy scenes that will leave you begging for more and a cast of side characters that will have you wondering if you should hug them or slap them. Actually, that was one of the nice things about this book. Catching up with all the guys from the Surrender Series was a great addition and it was nice to see how their live have changed. I encourage you to read this book. I promise you won't be disappointed.
