Gravity by Lauren Runow was not your typical romance. Lily and Trevin have known each other since they were kids. Friends for years, they seem to be just short of more than friends. When it finally seems like they are ready for more, Trevin gets his big break. Lily is so happy for him, but finds herself left behind more often than not.
Trevin’s life has not been an easy one. He has gone through so much, but through it all Lily has been there for him. She stood by him while he was trying to obtain his dreams. Lily loves Trevin, always thought they would be in each other’s lives, but sometimes life takes you on unexpected paths. And at what point is enough, enough? When you finally need to stand up for your own wants and needs.
And so begins their heartbreaking journey that spans years and will leave you in tears and a broken heart. Trevin and Lily’s story is a little of everything, from friends-to-lovers to second chance at love. We see them through all the good and all the bad. Really, you just need to experience it, with chocolate, wine and lots of tissues.
I love angst, thrive on it, so this story was perfect for me. At times, I wanted to throw my eReader, but it is those emotions that kept me so captivated. It was a train wreck and I loved/hated every moment of it! A rocker, a love story that spans decades and all the feels, what more can you ask for?
At times, you really begin to wonder if being soulmates is enough to make it. How can two people who care about each so much continually make bad decisions? Definitely worth the read, just be ready for a wild, heartbreaking ride!
