WANTED: Single dad needs nanny–In more ways than one.

Martin “Brick” Bricker is living the good life. He’s playing the sport he loves, has all the women he can handle, and parties like a rock star. At twenty-six, he has no interest in slowing down or taking anything seriously–except hockey, of course.

Then a knock at his door changes everything.Suddenly he’s the single father to a five-year-old daughter he didn’t know he had, and he’s trading his playboy ways for Barbies.

Amelia Stacey struggles to make ends meet and juggles her day-care job with a full load of college classes. When she’s offered a temporary, two-week nanny position making more money than she imagines, she jumps at the chance. Before she knows it, she’s in over her head, not just with her five-year-old charge but with the girl’s hot single father.

Brick always goes after what he wants, and he wants Amelia. Only responsible Amelia doesn’t want anything to do with the party boy. Struggling with fatherhood and his unexplainable attraction to his nanny, Brick has to figure out where his daughter and Amelia fit into his life.If they fit at all.

But one thing’s for sure: Brick can’t block this shot straight to his heart.

Jami Davenport

Emotional, Endearing, and Absorbing! I absolutely loved this story!!

Martin "Brick" Bricker seems to have it all! The fame, money, body and ego to boot! He's a Goaltender for a professional hockey team. He fought his way up the ranks to get to where he was. He thought that his life was great! What man wouldn't want to have a parade of women waiting at his door? No entanglements or heavy responsibilities tying him down. Until one little package arrived at his door! A bundle of sass arrived in the form of a little girl named Macy. What was a playboy hockey player going to do with a child!? This was certainly going to put a kink in his slinky! He knew absolutely nothing about kids and, a road trip was right around the corner! I thought he did the only thing he could! Get a Nanny! But, I also felt that he was willing to leave his daughter with anyone! He seemed desperate!

When he met Amelia it was like he heard "Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner!" He never asked for references, or information to run a background check on her. I felt that he just wanted to escape his responsibility as a father. He never bargained on Amelia! She was one hot nanny! But, she was also a responsible nanny, and determined to not become emotionally involved. I wondered who would blink first!

This was one of the best sports romances that I've read in a long time! I couldn't help but love Macy! I wanted to grab onto her, hold her tight and keep her from anything hurtful. I wanted to kick Brick several times in the story but restrained myself! I hoped that Brick would find the true meaning of Life in the end.
