A Fighting Chance by Annie Stone

When Mackenzie meets Carter, it’s love at first sight. They have a blissful year together before trouble arrives. In the form of Carter’s two teenage sons.

When Hunter and Carey decide they want to live with their father in California, Mackenzie knows right away that she’s in for a tough time. And she couldn’t be more right.

The two boys show her on a daily basis that she’s not good enough for their dad. In fact, they make it quite clear their lives would be better without her. But could it be that Hunter has quite a different motive for hating her?
I’m a contemporary romance writer, who likes her men tattooed, her women independent and her coffee strong.

My stories are all about love, but some are of the romantic kind, some of the sad kind and others of the very steamy kind. So if you can stand drama, foul language and sex, you came to the right place.

Holy Hotness What A Story!!!

Every once in awhile, I'll get a story that I can't just simply read...I Devour It!! This is one of those stories!! I felt that it started as a Hate Story, moved onto a Love Story, then became a story about sacrifice and growing up! I Loved Everything About It!!

Mackenzie had a hard life until she met and fell in love with Carter. He was everything she was looking for in a man. He was kind, sensitive but, he was older than her and had 2 teenage sons. She had worked very hard to overcome her past, and had a great new life with Carter being front and center. Then came the unexpected! Carter's sons were coming! They were prepared to hate Mac, thinking of her as a gold digger after their father's money. I could just feel the tension and hate rolling off the two boys! I knew they were trouble! Mac was in a bad position with the teen boys. She wasn't their stepmother, and really had no say so in what they did. They knew it too!!

There were a lot of emotional and trying times as I read! This story had me going! I loved Mac! I felt a great deal of respect for her,and how she handled herself throughout the story. I'm hoping that this won't be the end! I'm dying to see if the relationship with Carter stands the test of time.
