I fell in love with Holden York when I was six years old.

Most of my youth came with spiral notebooks filled with doodles, wedding plans, and “Janelle York” looped in bubbly handwriting.

However, one night in Vegas changed everything.

I woke up to more than just a fantasy of my brother’s best friend.

Five years later, I’m standing on his doorstep confronting him about the secret he kept from me.

If you think this is the story of how we rode off into the sunset together…

You’re so wrong.

But if you think this is the story of how Holden blackmailed me into living with him…

You couldn’t be more right.

About Leddy Harper

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.

The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.

I Do {n’t} by Leddy Harper was an interesting and intriguing read. Different then her normal angst-filled and tear-jerking books, this time around, Leddy gave us a lighter read with some funny moments.

Janelle Brewer has been in love with her older brother’s best friend since she was six years old. But as the little sister, she knew it would never amount to anything. But apparently one night years ago changed everything and she did not even know it! Now she is back to confront him, but the surprise is on her!

Janelle was a spitfire and lived in the moment. She could be a bit self-centered, though not in a horrible kind of way.  Holden York was sexy, sweet and very determined. As the best friend of her older brother, he had been a part of her life as long as she could remember. The back and forth between them is hilarious and fun to read. They were both equally stubborn and determined to get their way.

Though this was lighter than previous books, there were times I was so frustrated with both Janelle and Holden. After what happens between them years ago, she left to go to college and stayed away. Both were conflicted and rather than talk about, just went their separate ways. Years later they are in each other lives in ways neither expected, but this time, Holden is determined to not let go.

This was an enjoyable read, with main characters you like, though you want to hit sometimes, with family drama and lots of humor and sexy times. This was told in both points of view, which allowed us to fully understand both main characters. A good read with romance and laughter.
