Country’s hottest bad boy.
That’s what they call me. My label ate it up
until I became “too bad” for the good folks of country music. That’s when Hard
Candy Records picked me up and took a chance on me. Probably not their smartest
move, but I won’t tell them that. Especially when they’ve assigned me a
babysitter to try and keep my ass out of trouble. One smart-mouthed,
unimpressed, sexy as homegrown sin, Addy Mae Masterson.
She likes to pretend that she doesn’t like me
and I like to let her.
I may have a past that haunts me and she may
have a habit of getting attached, but damn if I don’t want to show her just how
good this bad boy can be.

Author Bio

Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep
love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins,
notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book
world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she
graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper
computer.
A wife, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys,
and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her
husband and boys in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard
hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met.

Sugar
Mandi Beck

I loved Sugar by Mandi Beck. She is a must-read author for me and books like this are why. I loved the story, the writing and the characters so much! I was consumed by this story!

Beau McCrae is Country’s current bad boy. He is hot, talented, charming and currently on a downhill spiral. His label has dropped him and he is all over the tabloids with his indiscretions. But at the heart of it all, Beau is a good guy suffering from guilt and grief. I loved Beau, he really was charming, sexy, and caring, but because of the guilt he carried, he did not feel worthy of good things happening to him. Most of the time he seemed like his own worst enemy.

Hard Candy Records decides to take a chance on Beau and assigns Addy Mae Masterson to keep him in line. I loved Addy. She was sweet, caring, fair and so very feisty when needed. She was strong and independent, but also knew her flaws. She knew Beau was trouble the first time she saw him and was determined to stay away from him.

I loved watching the friendship and relationship grow between Beau and Addy so much.  Both were really good people struggling with past issues. The more time they spent together, the more their bond grew. Beau did not want Addy to get attached to him and Addy was determined to not get attached, but we all know how well even the best laid plans work! When things get too real, will they be able to see what they truly have or will it be too late?

Sugar was sweet and charming with a bit of angst to spice things up. I loved the story so much. The characters were amazing, from Beau and Addy, to meeting Sealy and catching up with the Wrecked crew. A great read!
