Tristan by Karla Sorensen

Title: Tristan
Series: Bachelors of the Ridge
Author: Karla Sorensen
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 25, 2018

There’s one thing you should know about Tristan Whitfield: he’s been in love with Anna for years.
There are two problems with that: she has no idea, and she’s married. Or at least, she was.
Anna Callahan knows three things about her brother’s friend, Tristan: he’s quiet, incredibly handsome, and has a smolder that could set the room on fire.
For years, it wasn’t difficult for Anna to overlook all of that. But when Tristan is the solution to a work problem that could derail her career, he is anything but easy to ignore.
To Tristan, the fact that the object of his affection is suddenly single means he should tread lightly. Be the friend she needs until she’s ready for more and hope the risk pays off.
Because it’ll add up to the one thing he wants: her.

Well, let’s see … I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone’s face, then I’ve done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I’ll love you forever.

This was my first book by this author and I immediately fell in love with her writing. Anna and Tristan have a story that has spanned years of friendship and unrequited love. It was a story that pulled at my heart strings and brought tears to my eyes.
I was captivated by this slow burn romance from the very first page. Their's is a beautiful love story full of second chances, hope and so much love I could feel it pouring off the pages. Tristan managed to wrap me up in a warm blanket of emotion with every thought he had and every sacrifice he made. Anna was his one and only and no one else stood a chance against her. The question is would Tristan ever get his chance?
This is book 5 in the series but I didn't feel the least bit lost. I will go back and read the other books, though. I'd love to know more about how some of the characters in Anna and Tristan's story found their one and only.
