HERO by LAUREN ROWE

Hero, an all-new sexy and emotional standalone romance by Lauren Rowe is Available NOW!

A standalone contemporary romance in the MORGAN BROTHERS SERIES from USA Today Bestselling Author Lauren Rowe. The story of firefighter Colby Morgan that proves heroes come in many forms . .

The first time I laid eyes on Lydia Decker, I couldn’t speak. Or breathe. Or string two coherent thoughts together.

And I don’t mean any of that figuratively.

I’m not talking about a guy being floored by the sight of a gorgeous woman—although, of course, Lydia is gorgeous beyond words.

No, when I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker—my physical therapist—I was lying flat on my back in the ICU, high as a kite on painkillers, breathing on a ventilator, my bones as broken and splintered as my spirit.

When I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker, she was a ray of light in the dark. Hope for the hopeless. A salve for my singed and battered soul.

She said she’d been assigned to fix me. That she was there to bring me back to life. She said helping me was her calling.

And then she touched me. Physically, emotionally, spiritually. She healed me.

And I fell in love.

But what I didn’t know . . . what I couldn’t possibly know . . . was that Lydia Decker needed fixing far more than I ever did.

4.5 stars

Hero by Lauren Rowe was such a beautiful story. A story about hope, healing, love and family.

Colby Morgan is a firefighter. It is a part of who he is and what he was meant to do. But when he is hurt on the job, he needs help to get back to being healthy. Enter Lydia Decker, his physical therapist. It is Colby’s nature to protect and serve, but when Lydia enters his life, he realizes that she needs help as much as he does.

Lydia was great at her job and was always there to lend a helping hand and offer support. But inside she carried grief that nearly tears her apart. How does she open her heart again and chance being devastated again? My heart broke for her, even as I cheered her on. I loved her. She was such a caring and loving woman.

Lydia is supposed to be helping Colby to get better, however, when they meet, the chemistry is off the charts between these two. When Colby finds out what Lydia hides, he is determined to be there for her, even as he struggles healing from his own injuries. He was so patient and caring with her. It was exactly what she needed. Their journey is both sad and heartwarming.

I loved this slow burn romance with tons of chemistry and all the feels. Colby was one of the best heroes I have read about. He stole my heart. Hero is an emotionally beautiful romance with amazing characters. I was lost in the story from beginning to end.
