MC romances are one of my guilty pleasures! I devour them. So, when I had a chance to read one from a new-to-me author, I jumped at the chance! Sufferance by K.E. Osborn is the fourth book in the series, but the first one I have read. Though this can totally be read as a standalone and I did not feel lost, I am excited to read the previous books in the series.
Tremor is a prospect working on earning his patch. The patch is very important to him and he is determined to earn it. But Neala is just as important to him. She is the MC princess loved by everyone and the President’s sister. She is off limits and going after her could cost him the patch he so desperately wants. He is stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Hurt by Tremor’s choice, the patch over her, Neala is heartbroken and trying to move forward. Tremor would do anything to not hurt Neala, but his very actions are devastating her. Tremor was not a bad guy and struggled on all sides, as he wanted both his patch and Neala. But he was just not allowed to have them both. He was strong, determined and a caring man, but it took him a while to get here. Neala was an amazing heroine. She was sweet and caring, but full of sass as well.
I enjoyed reading about the Chicago Defiance MC in Sufferance by K.E. Osborn. There was drama, angst and a whole lot of interference. I enjoyed the characters, their story, the MC and the writing. I am looking forward to reading more from this new to me author.
