One step at a time.

Ryan is the newest tattoo artist at Montgomery Ink Too and knows the others are curious about his secrets. But he’s not ready to tell them. Not yet. That is…until he meets Abby.

On each other.

One night at a time.

Carrie Ann Ryan

4.5 stars

Ashes to Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan Was so much more than I was expecting. There is so much backed into this novella. There is so much story packed into this book that it's almost hard to believe it's a novella. Abby is readjusting to a new normal after her life was turned upside down. Moving to Colorado Springs to raise her daughter is a big adjustment that Abby is still trying to navigate. Ryan is a but mysterious at first, there is so much to discover about him that I really enjoyed learning each layer of his personality and his past.

Although this is a novella and fairly quick read, I didn't feel like there was anything missing. I really enjoyed the story and how it is written, the only thing that held me back from a five star was simply the fact that the first couple chapters seemed a bit slower paced, otherwise this is a nearly perfect story.
