A reckless, obsessive soccer star. A forbidden affair that could ruin her career. The locker room has never been this steamy.

The Younger Man, an epic standalone forbidden age-gap sports romance, by New York Times bestselling author Karina Halle, is LIVE!

Starting over was her only option.

Forty-years old and still reeling from a public and painful divorce, Thalia Blackwood is looking for a fresh start, somewhere far away from her upside down life. When she’s offered a new job as the sports therapist for a football (soccer) team, she jumps at the chance. This is just what she needs to leave the heartbreak and shame of Manchester behind, trading it in for the warmth and hopeful vibrancy of Madrid.

He was her only desire.

Twenty-three year old Alejo Albarado is rising up the ranks in his career. As the charming forward for the Real Madrid team, Alejo’s life revolves around women, parties, and being a tabloid darling, that is until the new sports therapist joins the team.

Their passion could not be ignored.

What starts out as a strictly professional relationship between Thalia and the young Spanish player, slowly evolves into something more. Much more.

Their relationship was forbidden.

But their combustible chemistry and simmering sexual tension can only go so far—should Thalia give into Alejo’s advances, she’s at risk of not only losing her job, but succumbing to a much younger man will drag her through the spotlight again.

Alejo might be worth that risk.

Unless he breaks her heart in the process.

The Younger Man is a full-length standalone romance. Characters from Love, in English make a cameo in this book, however The Younger Man is intended to be read as a STANDALONE.

The Younger Man
Karina Halle

4.5 Stars

When I first heard Karina Halle was writing an age gap romance, especially one where the woman was older than the man, I was ridiculously intrigued. There is something about an older woman with a younger man that has that taboo aspect that gets my blood pumping and heart racing. Perhaps it’s the fact that I’m now in my mid-thirties and it would be completely invigorating to experience a younger man that’s in his sexual prime while I’m in mine. But in all reality that will never happen cause I’m married and all that. But a girl can dream…. Or she can indulge in this fantastic ride that Karina Halle takes you on the will have you living, breathing and simply feeling all the chemistry and passion between these characters, allowing you to live vicariously through Thalia.

Okay, so let me start with this Cover! Have you seen it? Beyond sexy and instantly catches your eye. Soft and passionate. This one will definitely be making an appearance on my keepers shelf!!

Thalia is a forty year old woman coming out of a terrible divorce. After being run through the ringer all over the media and public outlets, Thalia needs to escape from the life she’s living and get a fresh start. She’s put her life into her work as a physical therapist for the Manchester soccer team but now that her ex-husband is still coaching on the team, she knows it’s time for her to move on. Thalia is already heartbroken and questioning herself after her husband’s affair and she’s exhausted from the humiliation of being put in the spot light. The last thing she wants is to give up her dream job but she knows she can’t stay there any more even if she promised herself she’d never let a man be the reason she didn’t succeed.

After numerous interviews, Thalia finally lands herself a new job with the Real Madrid. A fresh start in another country with warm weather and plenty of sun, Thalia is ready to open herself up to all the possibilities that come with this change. What she doesn’t expect is to have an injured player in her care making her feel things she’s never felt before. Alejo isn’t just any player either, he’s at the top of his career.

Alejo Albarado is a sexy soccer player who instantly has his eyes on Thalia. As soon as he spots the beauty, he knows she’s the one. Even though he’s almost half her age, there’s something that draws him to Thalia that he can’t resist. He has to have her.

As these two increase their interactions and their chemistry is palpable, they find it harder and harder to resist temptation. But crossing the line with a player could cost not only Thalia her career but this sexy soccer player his dreams. Their relationship is strictly forbidden and cannot happen. The two begin a friendship trying to draw lines and keep their distance but both soon find that the lines become blurred and boundaries get crossed.

This book is super HOT, sexy, sensual and sinfully delicious. I fell head over heels in love with Alejo and was so in awe of him for everything that he overcame. I was smitten with these characters rooting for these two the entire time.

If you’re looking for an emotional story that is nothing short of intense, Karina Halle delivers an exceptionally well written romance that will leave you simmering with thoughts of these characters long after you read the last page.
