They might be richer than gods, but they’re morally bankrupt.

As far as the boys who run America’s most exclusive international academy are concerned, I’m an unwelcome interloper, an inconvenience, and they’re determined to make my life a living hell.

When Wren Jacobi sets eyes on Wolf Hall Academy’s newest inductee, all he sees is an easy mark. A reserved little girl with a target painted on her back. He knows nothing of my troubled past, though. Nothing of my mother’s suspicious death, or the horrific treatment I’ve had to endure at the hands of my psychotic father.

And he has no idea of the lengths that I, unassuming little Elodie Stillwater, will go to in order to break the savage beast who dreams of breaking me first.

There’s a wolf stalking the forests that surround my new school.
Little does he know…
There are far scarier predators lurking out there in the dark.

About the Author:
Callie Hart is a USA TODAY bestselling author of contemporary and dark romance. Her Blood & Roses Series is currently being translated into multiple languages all over the world. Having spent the last seven years living in Australia, Callie now calls Los Angeles home, where she enjoys hiking, spending time at the beach, daily hot yoga classes, and generally pretending to be a hipster.

Callie is often asked, ‘What is dark romance?’ Her reply is always the same: Dark romance is a story that makes you fall for the anti-hero. It is a story that will make you walk a tightrope, question your sanity, and have you checking your moral compass at the door. If you love a good story about a very bad boy, then dark romance is for you.’

Under her legal name, Frankie Rose, Callie writes young adult fiction that has been globally recognized, and has received numerous awards for her ‘Halo’ series.

Wow! Callie Hart has done it again!!

I’m a huge Callie Hart fan since the release of Blood & Roses so every time I hear she’s releasing a new book, I jump on the bandwagon and Riot House is no exception! I have been anxiously awaiting this release and so glad I got the opportunity to devour this baby while suffering through quarantine. It was definitely the reprieve I needed.

Riot House is bully romance at its best and left me yearning for more. A fascinating crew of characters that brought this story to life - Elodie, Wren, Carina, Dash, and Pax will forever hold a special place in my heart!!

After suddenly having her life uprooted from Tel Aviv, Elodie Stillwater finds herself as the new student in Wolf Hall Academy, a prestigious high school where the rich and military bound drop their kids off with the intention of not returning. For most teen girls this would be a scary thing to face but for Elodie life hasn’t ever been easy. Being raised by her father, Colonel Stillwater, Elodie’s had to learn how to take care of herself. She’s strong and independent and prepared to make Wolf Hall seem like a walk in the park.

As Elodie tries to find her footing in her new normal, she discovers her peers are in a league of their own. A league she has no business even entertaining. A handsome teacher who uses foul-language in class and is a splitting image of Clarke Kent, boys who talk back and don’t follow the rules, and catty girls who let their jealousy rule, this is just the beginning of Wolf Hall Academy. Elodie soon gets sucked into the mysterious clutches of none other than Wren Jacobi, one of the Riot House boys that she’s been warned to steer clear of.

Wren is a mystery from his elusive behavior to his endless dark eyes. Living in Riot House which is down the hill from the academy, he shares his space with his two best friends Dash and Pax. The boys of Riot House are known for their tormenting and blatant disrespect for authority and Elodie comes to learn that she’s become the next target on their radar.

Wren and Elodie have an instant attraction that they try to deny but their chemistry simmers under the surface bubbling up in the form of hate until it finally explodes into something neither of them ever expected!!

“You are going to be mine, Elodie Stillwater. Of all my sins and misdeeds, making you fall in love with me will be the very worst of them.”

Honestly, this book was fabulous!! It’s a little longer than it needed to be but I will say that I understand the reasoning. It starts off kind of slow but the content is of value as Callie Hart lays the ground work and develops each character before she hits you with the twist. Stick in there and keep reading because once you hit the sweet spot, the story just comes together and keeps you begging for more!!

If you’re looking for a good enemies to lovers/bully romance, then this one is sure to hit the spot!!

This book was reviewed for Reviews from the Heart.
