He was my foster brother.
He swore to protect me.
He failed.
They all failed.

I’m an open box of passé photographs, snapped in chaste daylight, but filtered in sepia. I’m the past that he tried to forget, and he was the future I needed. When he left six years ago, I screamed for him every night. But then it all stopped. My screams were suddenly muffled by cruelty, and further coaxed by pain.

But he has come back. He’s not the cute big brother I had a furtive crush on, or the bad boy, rich brat that I hated to love.

He’s the ruthless vice president of Wolf Pack MC, and he doesn’t answer to Royce Kane anymore.

He answers to Sicko.

About the Author:
Amo Jones is a USA Today & Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, totally winging this author thing (she’s probably doing it all wrong). She likes cake, loves wine, and her religion is magic (Slytherin). She’s a profound work-a-holic, but when she’s not writing, you can find her chilling with her kids & Husband at the nearest beach, with a cocktail in her hand.

New Zealand is not a state of Australia and rugby is the best sport ever played.

Amo Jones

Amo Jones is a mastermind with giving you twists and turns you don’t see coming. This book starts off with a group of rich kids who do what they want, when they want. Royce, Orson and Storm are a triple threat. With their good looks and rich kid toys, it’s no wonder everyone flocks to them. You would think they would be ruthless and wear their entitlement for the world to see but they are actually really good guys. Partying out on the boat, drinking on the beach, and just plain having a good time, this group of popular kids don’t look for trouble and stay on the straight and narrow. However, once you throw in Jade, the foster sister to Royce, the guys become overly protective and will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Even if that means crossing over boundaries that could change their lives forever.

Royce and Jade may have become siblings by chance, but the undeniable connection between the two has been there from the start. So when chaos ensues and Royce runs away from his family and the only life he’s ever known, time changes everything and there is no going back.

Left with a gaping hole in her heart, Jade pursues but under the surface her anger only grows, simmering and festering, just waiting for the day she can unleash it on the only person she’s ever loved. Royce abandoned her and left her vulnerable. Now four years later he returns like he can walk back into her life as if he didn’t crush her and break her heart. But the handsome young boy that walked out that door is now a chiseled bad man and the VP of a motorcycle club. After fleeing home, Royce found himself welcomed into the MC and branded his skin with ink and his eyes now hold secrets. He doesn’t go by Royce anymore. Now they call him Sicko.

As Jade heads off to college one thing she didn’t expect was for Royce aka Sicko to be breathing down her back, especially after he betrayed her and left her like she didn’t mean anything to him.

Time has changed both Royce and Jade and in a battle of wills the two will learn to find what they once had. This book was gritty, intense and definitely dark but if I’m being honest, I was hoping for a little bit more on the dark side. Don’t get me wrong, it definitely has its moments but based on the hype I thought it would be no holding back. It’s honestly more taboo than dark or maybe I’m just disturbed!

I did love the dynamic between Royce and Jade and how she had a fierceness about her that was subtle and not overdone. She was definitely one of the strongest heroines I’ve ever read and I admired her bravery and ability to overcome. Royce is intense and protective. He will do anything to keep Jade safe and also get what he wants. I loved his silent power and determination. The two together were quite the pair and ridiculously hot!!

This book is one that will keep you glued to the pages and captivate you in the world Amo Jones has created. I absolutely need more!! These characters, this world, this journey… give me all of it!!!

This book was reviewed for Reviews from the Heart.
