Meet Kristy

New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary romance novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines and damaged heroes who we love to hate but can’t help to love. A mom of three, she plots her novels in between school runs and soccer practices, more often than not with her laptop in tow and her mind scattered in too many different directions. Since publishing her first book on a whim in 2013, Kristy has sold over one and a half million copies of her books across eighteen different countries and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists over thirty times. Her Driven trilogy (Driven, Fueled, and Crashed) is currently being adapted for film by the streaming platform, Passionflix, with the first movie (Driven) out now. With her imagination always in overdrive, she is currently scheming, plotting, and swooning over her latest hero. Flirting with 40
K. Bromberg

I seriously fell in love with Flirting With 40. I have always known that Bromberg is one heck of a writer, but Slade and Blakely's story takes the cake. Usually I prefer the age gap to be vice versa compared to this one, but holy crap this author just turned me out.

The storyline in general was incredible, but the development? The development was on steroids X 10. I'm not only talking about the progression in Slade and Blakely's hot as heck chemistry, but in the overall aspect in finding not only yourself but your passions as well. The depth was out of freaking bounds. It dug deep enough that it made me get in my feelings, but not far enough to where I was drowning in tears. The pace was not rushed, it was more of a slow and steady wins the race, but not slow enough that had me skipping pages. The freaking dialogue and witty banter had me literally laughing out loud, while my husband was looking at me like I was crazy. It was not youthful in the sense of immaturity, but playful in a cute way.

I absolutely adore these characters, but Slade is my man. When I think of him I see Dr. MCsteamy (but a younger version). He was this whole book to me. He was light and airy. His playfulness made him unique in his own way. He's positive and kind, a complete gem. Blakely definitely grew on me, not that I didn't like her in the beginning, because I did. It was like she was this caterpillar and once she turned into a butterfly she was this all inspiring beauty. Her personal growth was extraordinary. She is so insanely smart and dedicated, but she is not afraid to set the record straight.

In my opinion Flirting With 40 is Bromberg's best book to date. I without a doubt recommend this book.
