If I can keep Hush Note’s leading guitarist, Nixon Winters, on the straight and narrow for the next six months, I’ll finally get my own band to manage—assuming we don’t kill each other first.

The egotistical, irritating rock star is fresh out of rehab, but it’s obvious his demons followed him home—and now I’m sleeping down the hall. I’ve watched him self-destruct every summer, and with album deadlines and tour dates looming, I can’t let it happen again. My career is in his hands.

But tattoos can’t cover every scar, and I’m starting to see through his trademark, irresistible charm to the damage beneath.

Everyone wants the rock star.
I’m falling for the man.

If he doesn’t let me in,
he’ll never break the cycle—
And when these six months are up,
I might be the one left broken.

"Top 3 Reads of my life!"

I CAN NOT... CAN NOT PUT INTO WORDS THE LOVE I HAVE FOR MUSES AND MELODIES. I am the type of gal to review as soon as I finish reading because my emotions and feelings are still raw. It's unheard of me to actually wait to write my review, BUT this time was different. I put my hands on the keyboard to start said review, and I couldn't even put the words down because I was still reeling like an addict, and to be perfectly honest, I still am. All my thoughts are still tangling together from the magic that Yarros created. There is no words in Websters dictionary that could do Muses & Melodies justice, but I will try to do my very best.

I was/am completely spellbound by Nixon and his sassy as all get out Herione and that is because this author has more talent in her pinky finger than most authors all together, and no that is not a dig at other authors. Yarros is just on a completely different planet when it comes to her writing skills. She more than captivates me, she flipping awh's me. Yes, I know Muses and Melodies is fiction, but THIS fiction is no where near superficial. In my opinion, it was life like with real world issues that this author hit the head on.

The development was spot on. Not one time was there a stutter. The depth carved my heart out, and I mean that on so many different aspects and coming from so many different POV's. The growth and the resilience shown is what makes this one inspirational. So many people could learn a thing or two from Nixon and his cathartic story. The dialogue and all that in itself is something else. I can not put into words how much I adored getting into Nixon's head, and seeing why he said this, or why he done that.

The chemistry and connections deserves a paragraph of it's own because well, so many different reasons. The push and the pull was FANTASTIC. Yarros done that with so much maturity and self love, and that is why this book is one of my favorites of all time. Doing right from wrong, and wrong from right. Everything was built the way I could only dream of.Nixon and this Sassy heroine are different in so many ways, but for me? That is what makes them so right for each other.

Goodness, I have done wrote a book for a review lol. Okay okay, I will leave off with this, Muses and Melodies is the one book you do not want to miss because this is the book that can give you life.
