About the Author:
Ahren spent her formative years living in an active volcano. There her family made collectible lava art. She studied rock collecting at the Sorbonne in France. There she met the love of her life-her pet pig Sybil. She returned to the states and started writing. She is happily married to a guy who used to live under a bridge and she met while pole-dancing. They have one amazing daughter.

Now, meet the real me. I grew up in the south and consider myself a true “Southerner”. Most of the special locations mentioned in my books are reflections of my favorite places. Living on the Florida coast, my family spends a lot time at the beach which is where I usually can be found with a book in my hand. I started writing my Surrender Series, in the spring of 2013 and have received incredible support from the Indie community. Throughout this year, I have been privileged to meet some amazing people that I am thankful to have in my life.

Crenshaw Bennett, you plowed into my life and made me fall hard and fast for you.  You turned on the charm and proved in the end that you're not just a Hotshot.  You're loyal, caring, possessive and fiercely protective of the people you love.
Some people might thinks this is a book about bullying.  And maybe on some level it is.  There's no doubt that it plays a central role in the telling of Bizzy and Shaw's story.  But that's not all I see.  Me?  I see a book about love.  A book about two people finally seeing what's right in front of them and fighting to hold on to it.  This is more than a friends to lovers romance.  It's a lesson in how the choices we make, good or bad, can lead us done the path we were always meant to take.
Bizzy and Shaw met in the most unconventional way but their connection was instant.  Through the years their love for each other grew stronger.  Turning into something that is passionate and true.  It didn't see social class or disease.  It was blind to all the what ifs.  It saw strength and determination, survived time and distance and became something beautiful and lasting.
This book had me going in so many different directions.  There were times I wanted to simultaneously give these characters a hard shake and wrap them in my arms and offer comfort.  My heart ached for them each time a new obstacle was thrown in their path.  But I had to believe that the devotion they had for one another would win and that they would get their HEA.  Things don't always go the way we would like.  But aren't the best things in life the things we have to work the hardest for?
Hotshot is sexy, sweet and full of angst and drama.  It has a story line that is real and raw, one that many people will connect with.  It's emotional and deals with tough issues while, at the same time, creating a story that you get lost in.  The chemistry between Shaw and Bizzy pours off the pages and there is more than one scene that will melt you panties,  There's a great cast of side characters that you will love and who provide some needed comic relief when things get too heavy.  I really hope this isn't the last we see of Shaw and Bizzy.  There are a couple of Bennett brothers that I loved to get to know better.
