He’s not perfect, but he’s all I want…

I’m your average girl at your average high school, trying to figure out my place in life. After catching my now ex-boyfriend messing around with my now ex-best friend, I’ve made some big changes. No more band, no more backstabbing friends and no more boring old life. Now I have new friends, a new job and new interests.

But there’s a certain someone who’s interested in me, and I don’t get it. Jordan Tuttle could have anyone he wants. He’s the most popular boy in school. Rich, gorgeous, smart and the star quarterback, he’s perfect. Yet he acts like he wants no one else but…me.

So despite my fears and doubt, I let him get close. Probably too close. I discover that he’s not so perfect after all, but it doesn’t matter. I’m falling for him, even though he runs so hot and cold. I know someday he’s going to break my heart.

And I’m going to let him.

This story brought back Many High School memories for me!! The parties, the boyfriends, girlfriends, and mean girls are all present in More Than Friends! I Loved reading about the drama, and the trauma surrounding Olivia, Amanda and company! It was very entertaining. I felt sadness at the loss of friendships, and angry with some of the characters mean spirited comments. But, once again this is a story about High School!

Olivia can't let go of a past relationship even though she has moved on with Ryan. Her best friend Amanda falls for Jordan Tuttle. Both boys are popular on and off the football field!! I kept thinking that Amanda was the smarter of the two girls, because she was so level headed! Even though her heart was falling for Jordan, her head kept saying "proceed with caution!" He had A lot of excess baggage! His parents, and girls who wanted to be more than friends! I felt Jordan's turmoil! His wealthy parents had expectations, it was their way or the highway! Amanda was caught somewhere in between.

As for Olivia, the more I got to know her, the more I didn't like her!! She seemed whiney, needy, and selfish!! She was a collector of men! She seemed to have an eye on everyone of them!! Despite everything, I couldn't help but think she was lonely and looking for affection. Even if it was with a boy that seemed to be using her. Maybe, part of the problem is her Mother's live in boyfriend! He is a Real Creeper, and her Mom always seems to be gone leaving him with Olivia. It's possible that Olivia is looking to escape by any means possible.

The Author leaves us anxiously waiting for the next book! I can't wait to read what happens next!!
