What could be better than a Rockstar? A broken Rock Star that just begs to be loved, even while he fights it every step of the way. I loved, loved this book. The emotions I felt staggered me.

Ash Evans was the epitome of a bad boy rocker. He lived hard, partied harder and went through women as if his life depended on it. And though he did have regrets, he swore never to love again. Instead he decided to live his life to the fullest with no ties. But how long could one person run from this past?

Living on the edge catches up to you eventually. On one of the worst days of his life, Ash finds himself broken and in a pool of his own blood. Until a woman with chocolate eyes saves him. A woman that is familiar and new and different in every way.

Ash broke my heart. He came off as just another rocker who did not care about anyone or anything. He had few rules he followed, but he loved his band and friends, who had become his family and his sister. Then one night he hit rock bottom. Literally.

Willow Langston wanted to build a life with someone who loved and treasured her. She wanted a family. She thought she had it all until one man broke her and took everything from her. She learned early on in life how easy it was to lose those you loved. Was everyone she loved destined to leave her?

What I loved about Willow though is that even when she had been dealt with some tough turns, she still dreamed. Even if she kept those dreams hidden deep inside. She was strong, confident and had strong beliefs, but she was also a bit broken. But never mistake broken for weak. Not with this shy girl ready to give her heart to someone who would value it. Could that man be Ash Evans?

Determined to repay Willow for saving him, he sets out to help her anyway he can. In the process, they become friends, but the attraction and chemistry they feel cannot be denied. Willow knows she is playing with fire and in the end, she will be burned. And Ash knows he is bad news to anyone he cares about, so he builds boundaries he is determined not to cross. He will not hurt Willow.

Love was never supposed to be allowed in. But what happens when the boundaries become blurred and lines get crossed? When both of their pasts get in the way and secrets tear them apart, will only ashes be left?

Ash broke my heart. He never saw himself as others saw him. Good. Kind. Loving. Instead he built walls around him. And Willow was strong and broken, but slowly came to realize her value. Ash gave her that.

I was so captivated with Ash and Willows’ story. They were both a bit lost and broken. Afraid to feel again. Too many secrets and past hurts held them back. But sometimes life throws you for a loop and into the unexpected. I loved the characters and the story. So worth the read!
