You know how Cinderella had the whole glass slipper, pumpkin carriage, fairy godmother thing?Yeah…with foot-destroying stilettos, Uber, and a Twitter horoscope, my life is far from a happily ever after.

In fact, instead of Prince Charming, I end up dating every slimy, scaly, brainless frog in the kingdom of Manhattan. And by frog, I mean all of the stereotypical bad guys that Mom and Lifetime movies warned you about.

The meathead player.
The mommy’s boy.
The namedropper.
The cheapskate.

If they suck at relationships, I’ve probably kissed those cold, clammy lips in the hopes of finding love. Until one day, when one man with commitment issues offers to help me find the Romeo to my Juliet.

But what happens when the frog, who was never supposed to turn into a prince, kisses you at midnight? Ok fine, he propositioned me for some afternoon delight after brunch, but not everything can be straight out of a fairytale.

Author of romance novels such as Red Card and the Captive Heart Duet, Carrie Aarons writes sexy, swoony and sarcastic characters who won’t get out of her head until she puts them down on a page.

Carrie has wanted to be an author since the first time she opened a book. She loves spinning tales that include dapper men, women with attitude, and the occasional hunky athlete.

When she isn’t in what her husband calls a “writing coma”, Carrie is freeing up her jam-packed DVR, starting her latest DIY project, or planning her next travel adventure. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, who is more than happy to watch sports while his wife plots love stories.

Sometimes you just need to read a romantic comedy that will have you laughing out loud. All the Frogs in Manhattan by Carrie Aarons was just what I needed. Being single is not all it’s cracked up to be. How many frogs will you have to kiss until you find your prince charming?

On the outside Gemma Morgan has it all. A New Yorker working for a fashion magazine, an apartment in the West Village and single. What more could a girl want? How about her prince charming? But instead she finds herself a serial dater dating all the frogs. She sometimes feels like she has a sign attracting all the wrong guys.

Oliver Anders is a tech mogul. By thirty he is filthy rich and though he is a nerd at heart, he has grown into himself. He is confident and handsome. But he also knows commitment is not for him. Not now. He likes finding someone to warm his bed when needed, but makes no promises. For him it’s about the sex only.

Gemma and Oliver have a chance encounter after yet another horrible date for Gemma. Never expecting to see each other again, they walk away. But when they meet again, they agree to keep it light. They can be honest with each other and there are no expectations. Nice and simple and no one gets hurts. But what happens when feelings begin to emerge?

I loved Gemma and Oliver. I loved their banter and easy-going way with each other. They hit it off and become friends of sorts. Oliver begins to give Gemma advice on what guys are looking for and expect. But as they continue to send time together, will their relationship change?

It was so much fun seeing Gemma experience one bad date after another. Her friends were amazing and fun. Oliver was determined to keep things light and friendly. But you quickly begin to see how things change. Can Oliver and Gemma see what is in front of the or will their insecurities and fears get in the way?

What a fun, sexy quick read. A friends to lovers with a twist story. I laughed so much while reading this story. There were also some serious moments that will pull at your heartstrings. A story with a little bit of everything that will leave you feeling light and happy.
