Blurb
They say if you love someone, set them free, and if they
come back, it’s meant to be.
I didn’t exactly set Vanessa free.
I screwed up.
She left.
Five years later, she’s back wearing another man’s ring.
And this time I have no choice but to let her go.
But fate has other plans for us.
And once again, I find myself face-to-face with the love of
my life.
I take that as a sign from the universe that we truly are
meant to be.
She wants me to let her go.
Believe me, I tried. Not once but twice.
It broke me.
It broke her.
It broke us.
I won’t make the same mistake again.
Because if you truly love someone, you don’t set them free.
You hold on to them with everything you’ve got.

Though this is part of a series, Baller by M.A. Foster, is my first book by this author and in the series and I loved it. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author. Liam and Vanessa have so much history and most of it not good. Vanessa and Liam shared so much when they were younger and then he left her lost and heartbroken. Now Vanessa is not able to trust or let people in easily. Liam is now back and wants to show her this is their second chance. But can she trust him again? Can they find a way to move forward after so much heartbreak and current obstacles? Baller from M.A. Foster was emotional, angst-filled and allows us to see into their relationship over the years. I am excited to go back and read more of this series.
